Me quedo con esta frase que leí en una entrevista:

Me he visto en la situación de "ahí estás Chavela, lo aguantas o no lo aguantas". Pues sí lo aguanto, como toro de lidia, me paro y embisto con los cuernos.


¿Acaso nos queda otra? Ya estamos en esta situación, no sabemos cómo hemos llegado a ella, o bueno, sí lo sabemos aunque no entendemos cómo pudimos no ver el lío en el que nos estábamos metiendo. Pensábamos que nada pasaría, pues pasa. Ahora aguantar, enfrentarte a lo que venga, embestir si es necesario con los cuernos.

Y esto me recuerda a otra frase del libro 1Q84 de Haruki Murakami:

- No importa dónde nos hayamos metido. Lo único seguro es que ahora ya no podemos volvernos atrás.
- Si no podemos volvernos atrás, no queda más remedio que tirar para adelante.

Si se aprietan ciertas tuercas, se tocan ciertos resortes, saldrá a la luz.

Y los animales como símbolos: el ciervo. el zorro y el cuervo. Cada uno representa un estado de ánimo presentes en los duelos por pérdida: tristeza, dolor y desesperación. Los tres mendigos.
